INTRODUCTION
The purpose of Backup procedure is to ensure that critical information for the systems below are adequately backed up on to prevent loss of data:
• Customer Portal
• File Server
• Building Management System
• CCTV System
• Access card System
PURPOSE
This Policy is applicable to all informational assets within BDC for the systems mentioned above. All the necessary software’s configuration and data shall be adequately backed up by BDC in order to ensure that each application, services and its data can be recovered in the event of a failure of any Information System, Information Technology Infrastructure and/ or loss/ corruption of data.
SCOPE
This Policy applies to any computer/technology equipment or peripheral devices that are no longer needed within the Company including, but not limited to the following: personal computers, servers, hard drives, laptops, mainframes, smart phones, or handheld computers (i.e., Windows Mobile, iOS or Android-based devices), peripherals (i.e., keyboards, mice, speakers), printers, scanners, portable storage devices (i.e., USB drives), backup tapes, printed materials.
All employees of the Company must comply with this Policy.
